A Gospel-Centered Easter Booklist

“Let’s know how to set an Easter table that’s focused on the cross—that’s focused on Christ—where you can have some meaningful conversation, and you can have an event at your home with your family that marks Easter in an important way.”

– Barbara Rainey

As you think about setting your tables this Easter season, I hope you’ll also “set your bookshelves.” Not just with cute picture books of eggs and bunnies, but of the greatest TRUE story ever told; the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I read a wide variety of books to my children (many that include fairy tales and fiction) but I always want them to know the difference between a fairy tale and the real thing. So while I might grab a few fun titles about Easter from the library to add into our readings, I’m purposefully choosing to stock our bookshelves with some of the best.

Budget Tip: If you add just 2-3 titles to your home each year, in a short amount of time you will have curated a really good book list! If grandparents ask about Easter (or even birthday) ideas for your kids, give them a title or two you’d like to add to your library.

The Easter story cards by Brighter Day Press would make a beautiful decoration to display in your home this season, or you could enjoy her water color painting class together as a family each day of Holy Week. We love displaying and using the Easter Blocks at our kitchen table along with the included 10-day devotional.
